Refund & Cancellation Policy

Thank you for choosing SY Travel. Because we act as an intermediary between you and third-party travel suppliers (including airlines, hotels, and other travel providers), all bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of those suppliers in addition to the policies outlined below.

Please review this policy carefully before completing your purchase.

1. Role as Agency

SY Travel acts solely as a booking agent for airlines, hotels, and other travel suppliers. We do not own or operate flights, hotels, or other travel services. All services are provided by independent third parties and are subject to their individual fare rules, cancellation policies, and restrictions.

Refund eligibility is determined primarily by the applicable airline or hotel's rules.

2. All Sales Are Final Unless Otherwise Stated

All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable unless:

  • The fare or rate explicitly states it is refundable; and
  • The cancellation request is submitted within the applicable supplier's permitted timeframe; and
  • The supplier approves the refund.

Promotional, discounted, "basic," "economy light," prepaid hotel rates, and special fares are typically non-refundable and may not allow changes.

3. Airline Tickets

a. Non-Refundable Tickets

Most airline tickets are non-refundable. If the airline permits cancellation, any refund will typically be issued as an airline credit/voucher or a refund minus airline penalties and fees. SY Travel service fees are non-refundable.

b. Refundable Tickets

If a ticket is purchased under a fully refundable fare:

  • A written cancellation request must be submitted before departure;
  • Refunds are subject to airline processing and verification;
  • Processing times typically range from 4–12 weeks or longer depending on the airline.

c. No-Shows

Failure to cancel prior to scheduled departure may result in complete forfeiture of ticket value.

4. Hotel Reservations

a. Non-Refundable / Prepaid Rates

Prepaid, promotional, or special rates are typically non-refundable once confirmed.

b. Standard / Flexible Rates

Refunds for flexible rates are subject to cancellation within the hotel's stated deadline (often 24–72 hours before check-in) and confirmation from the hotel that cancellation terms were met. No-shows or late cancellations are typically charged one or more nights and may be non-refundable.

5. Supplier Cancellations & Schedule Changes

If an airline or hotel cancels or significantly modifies a booking:

  • Refunds are subject to the supplier's policies.
  • SY Travel will assist in submitting refund requests but does not guarantee approval.
  • Refund timing depends entirely on supplier processing timelines.

If a supplier issues only a travel credit, that credit will be passed to the customer in accordance with supplier rules.

6. Refund Processing & Timing

  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing to support@SYtravel.com.
  • Once approved by the supplier, refunds are returned to the original form of payment only.
  • Processing may take 4–12 weeks or longer depending on supplier and payment processor timelines.
  • Service fees, booking fees, and processing fees charged by SY Travel are non-refundable unless required by law.

7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

By completing a purchase, you agree to contact SY Travel directly to resolve any dispute before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer.

Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of future booking privileges and submission of booking records to the issuing bank as part of the dispute response.

8. Documentation Requirements

Refunds may require:

  • Written cancellation confirmation
  • Government-issued identification
  • Credit card authorization verification
  • Supplier-issued documentation

Failure to provide requested documentation may delay or void refund eligibility.

9. Fraud Prevention & Authorization

We reserve the right to:

  • Request additional identification or card verification prior to ticket issuance;
  • Cancel bookings suspected of fraud;
  • Refuse service in cases of disputed prior transactions.

10. Force Majeure

SY Travel is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or changes due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, government actions, labor disputes, or public health events. Refunds in such cases are governed solely by supplier policies.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that:

  • You have reviewed the fare rules and cancellation terms prior to payment;
  • You understand that most discounted travel products are non-refundable;
  • You authorize SY Travel to charge your selected payment method;
  • You agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
